We are pleased to announce the publication of the article: 📄 Januszkiewicz, Ł.; Danych, R.; Łaski, M.; Bendzel, K. "Design and Analysis of a Smart Watch Antenna Operating in the 2.4 GHz Band". Sensors 2026, 26, 3921.
The paper is the result of a collaboration between our Institute and Global R&D Sp. z o.o. and summarizes the outcomes of a joint research and development project:
🔹 “Development of an Innovative 24-Hour Care System Infrastructure in the Form of a ‘Personal Caregiver’ and a ‘Virtual Nursing Home’” (POIR.01.01.01-00-0836/20).
🎯 The aim of the project was to develop the infrastructure for a 24/7 care system, including a smart wristband, sensors, and an application supporting user monitoring.
👨🔬 The task of the Institute of Electronics team was to design and analyze a 2.4 GHz antenna integrated into a smartwatch developed as part of the system.
👏 Congratulations to the authors, especially Prof. Łukasz Januszkiewicz, a researcher at the Institute of Electronics, and Kornelia Bendzel, an M.Sc. student in Electronics and Telecommunications.
