On April 11, on the International Day of Children's Universities, a staff member of the Institute co-created an event as part of the Lodz University of Children at Lodz University of Technology 👧👦

The lecture titled “Do smartphones have antennae?” was delivered by Dr. hab. Eng. Łukasz Januszkiewicz. In a highly accessible yet scientific way, he explained to the young participants how antennas work 📡 and why they are a key component of every smartphone 📱

Participants learned, among other things:
🔹 how phones “pick up” signals and communicate with the world
🔹 why antennas are not always visible, yet essential for device operation
🔹 how electromagnetic waves enable information to be transmitted over distance

It is a great satisfaction to see knowledge from the field of electronics reaching the youngest audience and sparking their curiosity about the world 🔍✨
