The paper, "Frugal Learning Methods for Kidney Segmentation in Non-Contrast MRI", is the result of a collaboration between researchers from the Lodz University of Technology and specialists from the Medical University of Lodz. The study explores the use of artificial intelligence for kidney segmentation in MRI scans when only limited annotated training data are available. The authors demonstrated that semi-supervised learning and transfer learning methods can achieve high performance while significantly reducing the need for costly expert annotations.

We are especially pleased that this project began as a Master's thesis and, thanks to the author's dedication, the supervisor's guidance, and the collaboration with experts from the Medical University of Lodz, evolved into an internationally recognized, peer-reviewed scientific publication. It is an excellent example of how collaboration between universities, students, and researchers can lead to impactful scientific achievements. 馃殌

馃憦 Congratulations to the author and co-authors: Prof. Artur Klepaczko, Prof. Ludomir Stefa艅czyk, and Dr. Marcin Majos. We wish you continued success!
