🎙 Zuzanna Błaszkowska – graduate of the first-cycle (BSc) studies,
🎙 Karolina Dzwonkowska and Piotr Stefański – final-year students,
presented their work entitled “Automated Segmentation of Wound and Scale Markers Areas Using a U-Net-Based Neural Network” during the event. The paper will be published in the conference proceedings by Springer Nature 📚🤖.
The academic supervisor of the project was Prof. Piotr Szczypiński.
As the BioNeuron team, the students also took part in the competition “Segmentation Challenge: Wounds and Markers in Focus”, achieving 6th place 🏅👏.
Karolina shared her impressions after the conference:
“The presentation went very well, and we eventually placed 6th in the competition. We really enjoyed the conference—especially hearing about the diverse approaches other teams used to tackle the presented problem. It was certainly a very enriching experience for us. We would like to thank everyone for the opportunity to take part in such an event.”
