From September 23-25, 2026, the next edition of the Radiocommunication and Teleinformatics Conference (KRiT) was held at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. The event was dedicated to the latest developments in radiocommunication, telecommunications, and ICT networks. The Institute of Electronics was very well represented at this year’s KRiT.
The KRiT conference provides an opportunity to present research findings, exchange experiences, and discuss the development of modern wireless communication systems. Topics covered include 5G and 6G technologies, antennas, radio wave propagation, wireless transmission, the Internet of Things, and intelligent radio systems. 📶🤖
We are pleased that our Institute actively participated in this year’s conference, presenting six papers addressing current challenges and development directions in wireless technologies.
🔹 "Computer Simulations of the Human Body Shadowing Effect in a 20 GHz Radio Channel" Łukasz Januszkiewicz, Karol Kropidłowski, Jarosław Kawecki, Kornelia Bendzel
🔹 "Impact of the Altitude and Flight Trajectory of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle on the Effectiveness of Communication with 5G mMIMO Infrastructure" Julian Kaczmarek, Sławomir Hausman, Piotr Korbel
🔹 "Dispersive Response of an RIS Cell in a Broadband OFDM Channel as a Problem Combining Electromagnetic and Transmission Models" Łukasz Jopek
🔹 "The Use of Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces for Tracking Vehicles and Vulnerable Road Users in Non-Line-of-Sight Conditions" Sławomir Hausman, Piotr Korbel
🔹 "Wearable Dual-Band Antenna for a Wireless Capsule Endoscopy System" Kornelia Bendzel
🔹 "Dual-Band Antenna for a Capsule Endoscope Designed to Operate in the MICS 400 MHz and 2.4 GHz Bands" Paweł Oleksy, Łukasz Januszkiewicz
📡 The topics of the presented papers demonstrate the broad scope of research conducted at the Institute of Electronics - from modelling radio wave propagation and 5G systems, through reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) and communication using unmanned aerial vehicles, to antennas for medical applications, including wireless capsule endoscopy.
As part of the conference, a competition organized by the Association of Telecommunications Engineers (SIT) was held for the best engineering thesis in the field of telecommunications. We are delighted to announce that this distinction was awarded to our student, Eng. Kornelia Bendzel! Congratulations, Kornelia! 👏👏
We would like to thank the organizers of KRiT 2026 for the opportunity to meet, exchange experiences, and discuss the future of radiocommunication and ICT systems. 🤝📡
At the same time, we are pleased to announce that our Institute will host next year’s KRiT conference! We invite everyone interested in radiocommunication and information and communication technology systems to join us next year in Łódź at Lodz University of Technology! 📞🩵🛰️
